The full walkthrough — every step, what to expect at each one, and what to do if something doesn't go as planned.
Open the Reel or video post inside Instagram (app or browser). Tap the three-dot menu or the share icon and choose Copy Link. On desktop, you can also copy it directly from your browser's address bar if you're viewing the post on instagram.com. The link only needs to point to a public post — if the account is private, the link won't work here.
Go back to ReelSave and paste the full URL into the input box. Make sure the whole link came through — a truncated link (missing characters after the last slash) is the single most common reason a paste doesn't process.
ReelSave fetches the publicly available video data tied to that link. This usually takes a few seconds; larger files or a slower connection will take a bit longer.
When more than one quality option is available from the source, pick the one you want and confirm the download. The file saves to your browser's default download location — typically a Downloads folder on desktop, or your Files/Gallery app on mobile.
